Organist
Dariusz Bąkowski-Kois graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Kraków (2000) and completed postgraduate studies at the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw and at the Vienna Conservatory (now Privatuniversität Wien). Since his studies he has maintained lively concert activity in Poland and abroad, including performances in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Italy, as well as in Mexico, Brasil, Russia and China. He has given recitals in such prestigious places as Hohe Domkirche Sankt Petrus zu Köln, Hohe Domkirche St. Peter zu Trier, Konstantin-Basilika (Aula Palatina) in Trier, Antwerpen O.L.V.-Kathedraal, Sint-Baafskathedraal Gent, Sint-Salvatorskathedraal Brugge, Dom aan Sint-Maarten van Utrecht, Kathedrale basiliek Sint-Bavo Haarlem, Grote of Sint-Laurenskerk Rotterdam, Grote of O.L.V. Breda, St. Mary’s Cathedral in Tallinn, Metropolitan Cathedral in Moscow or National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing. He was a jury member in the international organ competitions in Rumia and Łódź, the Tariverdiew Competition in Hamburg, as well as in many national organ competitions. He also graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków (1997), where in 2002 he received his Ph.D. at the Faculty of History. Since 1999 he has been teaching in the Organ Department of the Academy of Music in Kraków (since 2013 as full professor), leading classes in organ playing, chamber music and basso continuo. In 2014 he fulfilled postgraduate studies Master of Business Administration – University Management at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. At the Academy of Music in Kraków he was Vice Dean of the Instrumental Faculty (2008–12), Vice Rector (2012–16), and Head of Organ Department (2016–20).
